Rocki Robot Shoots Out Treats And Plays With Home-Alone Pets

Dogs and cats get lonely and bored when left home alone for hours. However, as much as we’d love to, we can’t spend every hour of our life with our pets. Thankfully, technology has made it possible for pets to have a friend while we are away or busy.

Rocki Robot allows cat and dog owners to interact with their pets from anywhere, anytime (as long as there’s WiFi). Pet owners can navigate and control Rocki from their iOS or Android devices via the free app available on app store platforms like the App Store or Google Play.

Rocki will become best friends with your cat or dog (you may even get jealous). Having a robotic pet companion comes with many benefits, including reducing your pet’s anxiety levels, increasing its exercise levels, and making its day way more exciting!

Pet owners can use the app to view Rocki’s live camera output on their smartphone, anywhere, whether at the office or traveling. They can then control the robot in real-time, driving it around their house to find their pet, play with it, talk to it, and give them a treat or two. Rocki will surely make you feel at ease knowing that your pet and home are safe.

As a bonus, this Wi-fi enabled robot allows you to train your dog while home alone by pressing the feed button to reward them with treats for good behavior. In addition, it also features two-way communication so you can calm your pet with your voice as they are anxiously waiting for your arrival.

Rocki Robot is designed for dogs and cats. The robot has 1080p and infrared (night vision) cameras, a microphone, a speaker, and four omnidirectional mecanum wheels to move forward/backward and from side to side. It also features a dispenser that can hold and shoot out up to fifteen user-supplied treats, along with a mechanical arm that can host different toys, such as feathers.

The default toy that comes with the robot is an interactive laser pointer controlled by the app. The laser pointer is particularly fun for cats, who love to chase the light around. Eventually, more toy mounts will be added to the accessory section. However, until then, one suggestion is to tie your own chew toy to the robotic arm.

One charge of Rocki’s battery should let it run for three days to one week, depending on how frequently the device is utilized and for how long. The robot is available on their website for US$229. Watch Rocki in action in the video below.

Leaving your pet home alone can cause distress for you and your pet, yet it’s inevitable. Therefore, it’s necessary to find ways to make it less unpleasant – like giving your pet a toy to play with when you’re not home. Other great robotic gadgets and toys to keep your pets busy include Wickedbone Smart Bone – an automatic & interactive dog toy, and iDogmate – a mechanical ball launcher dog toy.

A smart toy can give your pet the mental stimulation and physical activity it needs and keep them engaged for hours, eliminating loneliness and boredom. Besides, knowing that your pet is active and happy while you’re away will keep you relaxed and concentrated.
