There’s A New App That Makes It Fun To Pick Up Litter

Litter is a problem in every town, every city, and in the countryside. In fact, everywhere we go it’s such a huge problem. A new app called Litterati lets users identify, collect and geotag the world’s litter.

Jeff Kirschner was hiking with his two kids, and his daughter saw a plastic cup and said: “Daddy, that doesn’t go there.” It gave him an idea. He decided to write an app that would make it fun to pick up litter. He now hopes to use the data collected by the app to work with companies to stop litter before it reaches the ground.

Click here to download the Litterati app on your iPhone. The app will be available for Android devices soon.
