Surfing has quickly become one of the most popular sports in the world, with both beginners and professionals traveling great distances just to catch that perfect wave. These destinations include Bali, California, Costa Rica, Australia, Hawaii, South Africa, and Africa. However, if you don’t want to travel and you don’t live near an area with waves, the perfect solution for you is an electric surfboard or jet board. With such a board, waves are in your control, and you will never have to wait around to catch a good one.
Recently, a design team known as YuJet consisting of pro surfers and engineers has developed its first eco-friendly jet board dubbed The YuJet Surfer. This new jet board is a combination of an electric surfboard with the power of a jet ski. While e-surfboards are nothing new, they’re still not common to see at lakes, rivers, or beaches, but, perhaps it’s because they’re rather expensive. The Rävik S, for example, costs roughly US$19,000. The YuJet Surfer is almost half that price.

- A waterproof lithium-ion battery pack
