#trashtag: The Coolest New Viral Challenge To Clean Up The Environment You Have To Join In On

#trashtag

The latest #challenge has turned picking up trash into something fun… and it’s really catching on! Loads of people are joining in on the action sharing photos across all forms of social media.

The idea started with one guy. He took a picture of himself in front of an area which needed a clean-up. Then, he took a second picture of himself in the same spot but with 9 bags full of trash. When he shared the pictures he tagged them #trashtag.

It began with these two photos shared on Facebook. They were accompanied by this caption: “Here is a new #challenge for all you bored teens. Take a photo of an area that needs some cleaning or maintenance then take a photo after you have done something about it, and post it here.”

Amazingly, others really took to the idea and over the weekend it snowballed as users on Instagram, Reddit and Twitter shared dramatically different before and after photos all around the world.
