Earlier this year, IOON developed a spray bottle device that can convert regular sink water into Electrolysed (EO) water (or ionized water), a non-toxic disinfectant. At that time, it wasn’t available to the public; now it is. On June 15, IOON launched a kickstarted campaign that will go on until July 1.
With an ongoing pandemic, we are constantly sanitizing our hands and possessions, but that can create waste from single-use hand sanitizer bottles or wipes. The IOON sanitizer, on the other hand, keeps for several years; and the cartridge that does need to be replaced lasts up to one year. Using the IOON helps reduce plastic waste. And besides, how will we sanitize our food or pets? IOON is the answer!

EO water can be sprayed on your hands, food, cutlery, elevator buttons, door handles, and even pets to kill germs. It can also be used to clean anything, eliminate odors, and purify the air. EO is child-safe, food-safe, and removes the need to use chemicals to clean your house (which aren’t healthy). It eliminates odor by dismantling odor molecules.
The IOON device is a small and portable wireless sprayer that fits in one hand. It electrolyzes the water and sprays. The only part that needs replacement is a silver-ion cartridge that supports the electrolysis/ionization process. The small cartridge lasts between nine to twelve months, depending on the frequency of use.

The IOON is simple to use and consists of 4 main parts: sprayer, cartridge, body, and an electronics unit + battery. Charge it using the MicroUSB charging port included and fill it with any drinking water. After only twenty minutes, the water is ionized. It can last for up to three days before you have to ionize it again. Once ionized, the water is the same as your isopropyl-alcohol sanitizer but better because it’s food-grade and non-toxic.

Finally, the IOON comes integrated with an app that provides data on surface disinfectant usage, cartridge replacement, and battery level. IOON connects to the app via Bluetooth, allowing users to get online support and confirm that the device works correctly.
