IOON: A Portable Spray Bottle That Turns Tap Water Into Sanitizer

Date:

There’s an incredible technology, which has been around for over four decades, that can turn regular tap water into hand sanitizer and washing detergent! Now, a company called IOON has incorporated the science into a spray bottle device so you can convert your sink water into Electrolysed (EO) water (or ionized water), a non-toxic disinfectant.

EO can be sprayed on your hands, elevator buttons, door handles, cutlery, and even food to kill germs. It can also be used to clean anything, eliminate odors, and purify the air. EO is child-safe, food-safe, and removes the need to use chemicals to clean your house (which aren’t healthy). It eliminates odor by dismantling odor molecules.

The IOON device is a small and portable wireless sprayer that fits in one hand. It electrolyzes the water and sprays. The only part that needs replacement is a small silver-ion cartridge that supports the electrolysis/ionization process. The cartridge lasts between nine to twelve months, depending on the frequency of use.

How It Works

Water breaks down into a solution of sodium hydroxide and hypochlorous acid when electrolyzed/ionized. In this state, it behaves as a magnificent disinfectant and detergent, killing bacteria instantly, cleaning harmful chemicals off food, bursting odor, and purifying the air. The all-purpose cleaning solution can be used in place of floor-cleaner, carpet-cleaner, car-fresheners, room-freshener, fruit and vegetable cleaner, and any disinfectants.

The IOON is simple to use. Charge it using the MicroUSB charging port included and fill it with water. After twenty minutes, the water is ionized. It can last for three days before you have to ionize it again. Once ionized, the water is the same as your isopropyl-alcohol sanitizer, but better because it’s non-toxic and food-grade.

Good For The Environment Too

Standard on-the-go sanitizer bottles come in single-use packaging and have to be replaced often. This isn’t good for the plastic pollution crisis plaguing the planet today. The IOON sanitizer, on the other hand, keeps for several years; and the cartridge that does need to be replaced lasts for up to a year. Using the IOON helps reduce plastic waste, and it’s tiny, so it can fit in your pocket or bag just like a travel-size hand sanitizer.
