From Land To Water
To help with the pedaling on land, the tricycle is equipped with two 250-W electric motors that are hooked up to a 36-V battery. It provides up to 40 km (25 miles) of cycling assistance, depending on terrain. Other features include six solar panels, lighting for nighttime, disc brakes, a horn, an umbrella, a USB charging port, a fold-up passenger seat, a pet or child seat, two water bottle cages, and a coffee cup holder.

When you’re ready to take to the water, the three wheels fold up, and tiny inflatable pontoons can be attached to the sides for extra stability. As a boat, it’s suitable for calm lakes. The propeller is powered by a 12-V Electric Outboard Trolling Motor that has a range of around 10 km (6 miles). The cockpit is located opposite the tricycle seat. It is equipped with a dashboard of controls, a steering wheel, windshield wipers, a winch, and additional seats that fold out.

The interior becomes a bedroom by removing the seats and stowing them away, along with anything else that may be in the cockpit. There is shelving to put things out of the way and even a folding dining table to eat on. The Z-Triton is made from fiberglass and plywood with a steel frame and some 3D-printed plastic parts. It measures 1.2 m (3.93 ft) in width, 3.6 m (11.8 ft) in length, and 1.55 m (5 ft) in height.
It’s still currently under development and will enter the market in 2021.
