French tiny house firm Baluchon has produced a new model for a client in France – named Tiny House Nottingham in honor of its Anglophile owner. The small home measures only 19.6 ft (6m) long. However, despite its compact dimensions, the home serves as a comfortable residence for up to two people and even has sleeping space for a guest.
The towable dweller is based on a standard double-axle trailer. The interior is simple and basic; its most distinct feature is a large Velux skylight window in the loft bedroom positioned so that the owner can fall asleep while stargazing. Its exterior is finished in cedar, while the interior is finished in a mixture of oak and spruce, with a lot of glazing that naturally lights the home’s interior. Insulation is made from a combination of hemp, cotton, and linen, and it gets power from a typical RV-style hookup. If you’re looking to enhance your home with loft conversions, this design serves as an inspiring example of how to create a cozy and dreamy living space.

The living room features a window seat that doubles as a guest bed and includes integrated shelves and a drawer at the bottom for storage. There is a beautiful wooden, hand-crafted table nearby, a small electric heater, and a small wood-burning stove that also provides warmth.
The Tiny House Nottingham has a fundamental kitchen compared to North American tiny house standards. It includes a simple two-burner propane stove, a sink, a fridge, storage space, and a washer/dryer. A window sits above the sink so that anyone washing dishes has a view. The compact bathroom, which includes a shower, toilet, mirror, and window, is adjacent to the kitchen.

The single loft bedroom is reached by a storage-integrated staircase and sleeps two on what looks like a queen-sized bed. A triangular window sits behind the bed for extra airflow during the summer. However, there is limited headroom since this is a standard tiny house bedroom design.
The Tiny House Nottingham was delivered to its owner in Vendôme, central France.
