Finally, the ultimate punching bag has arrived! The Stryk RXT-1 is unlike any other punching bag because it actually fights back! How? It’s a robot.
The RXT-1 is the world’s first sparring robot that physically engages with you, allowing you to train with an AI (artificial intelligence) competitor, like a real-life video game. It includes three beginner modes and three advanced settings to choose from and comes with four padded arms and a head-target where you can unload punches.
Designed by Stryk USA, the RXT-1 is designed to strike back in real-time. Its four arms swing back and forth to create the effect of an opponent throwing punches. The arms throw soft punches but move as quickly as a human hand would; this way, you’re required to think and act quickly.
A touchscreen on the RXT-1’s torso lets you choose between its three built-in modes – Practice, Spar, and Combination:
The Practice mode is ideal for beginners or warming up because it’s predictable. The robot punches back precisely every 2 seconds in a pre-determined pattern. With this mode, you will know when and where your next punch is coming from.
The Spar mode behaves randomly, offering a more realistic experience while improving your reflexes.
The Combination mode is designed to be like a striking trainer, allowing you to strike the arm pads as you would the focus mitts. It includes more than 100 different pre-set combinations and routines.
The RXT-1 is easy to assemble and can either be wall-mounted or kept on the ground using a robust floor-stand. It also comes with an add-on torso pad, which allows you to train on attacking your opponent’s torso as well.
The sparring robot is ideal for anyone who wants to train at home without interacting with humans or someone who’d like to keep their martial-arts/boxing skills from going rusty.
