Most US medical staff wear Crocs because they’re comfortable and easy to clean. Now, Crocs has announced a program online to donate 10,000 pairs a day, to healthcare workers fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Crocs, President and CEO, Andrew Rees, explained:
Over the past week, we have spoken to healthcare workers, their facilities and even their family and friends, and they have specifically asked for our shoes in an effort to provide ease on their feet, as well as ease of mind as they need the ability to easily clean up before they go home to their families.

The manufacturer will also deliver some shipments straight to hospitals and other medical facilities. Crocs is allowing workers to sign up for free shoes by going to crocs.com/freeforhealthcare. It will continue to donate 10,000 shoes each day, as long as supplies last. “The duration of our giveaway will depend on our level of inventory and the amount of requests we receive. These workers have our deepest respect, and we are humbled to be able to answer their call and provide whatever we can to help during this unprecedented time,” Rees added.
Crocs are rubber-like and waterproof, as they are made out of a molded polymer resin. They can be easily washed off, which is an advantage for those who are taking special precautions because of the spread of the COVID-19.
