The latest eco-friendly, reusable coffee cup – called Huskeecup – is made from recycled coffee husks. These cups are non-toxic, impact-resistant, dishwasher-friendly, and beautiful!
Worldwide, approximately 600 billion disposable coffee cups are produced each year, of which 99.75% are not recycled and wind up in a landfill or the oceans. Huskeecup solves that problem while saving millions of tons of coffee husk waste produced from coffee farms globally.
The production of coffee husks and mucilage contributes to 5 million tons of waste each year. Most of this waste is dumped near the factories degrading the environment and producing methane emissions.

How Huskeecups are produced:
- The Huskee team collects coffee husks discarded in the roasting process,
- Then they pulverize them,
- Bind them together with a biopolymer,
- And finally, mold them into cups, lids, saucers, and mugs.

The cups are designed to be reused and can either be purchased by a coffee lover to use at home and in the office or by cafés to serve their customers. The cups don’t have handles; therefore, they can easily stack on top of each other, which comes in handy when there’s a full-house of customers.
The Huskeecup represents a remarkable blend of sustainability and innovation, crafted entirely from recycled coffee husks—byproducts of the coffee roasting process that would otherwise be discarded.
To enhance the personalization and aesthetic appeal of these cups, individuals have the option to customize coaster patches. These custom patches can be designed in a myriad of ways, tailored to suit diverse tastes and preferences. In addition to personal expression, customized coaster patches also serve a practical purpose.

Besides being eco-friendly, reusable, and sustainable, the Huskeecup is elegant and attractive. Its ridged texture offers a firm grip and makes it comfortable to hold while acting as a heat sink, keeping the coffee hotter for longer. Huskeecups are more durable than glass or ceramic cups and are non-toxic and BPA-free.
The cups come in various sizes and styles, including 6oz espresso cups, 8oz cups, and 12oz travel mugs that include sipper-lids. All of the different sized cups come with saucers to match made from the same coffee-husk material.

Old or broken cups that are discarded can be repurposed into new ones, ensuring that each cup has the potential to be recycled, allowing you to drink your coffee guilt-free.
Other creators have used coffee waste as a material for eco-friendly products, including PriestmanGoode’s ‘green’ version of the traditional economy in-flight meal tray. The base of the main tray is made out of recycled coffee grounds.
Coffee waste has also proved beneficial in the fashion industry. At the Autumn Winter 2020 show in Milan Fashion Week, Luxury brand Bottega Veneta had models walk down the runway in biodegradable boots made from coffee and sugarcane.
