Energica is known for making high-quality electric motorcycles and is the sole supplier of FIM Moto E World Cup races. The company recently announced improvements in battery packs; an Energica electric motorcycle can be powered by a new 21.5kW powerpack, which offers a 250-mile city range and can charge to 80% in just 40 minutes.
Energica has come out with a new pre-sale program and already has pre-orders for 1.4 million euros or equal to 40% of its total sales in 2019. Due to the high numbers, they plan on ramping up production to meet the demands.
The company features 3 bikes, Energica Ego the electric sportbike, Energica Eva Ribelle “the electric streetfighter,” and the Energica Eva EsseEsse9 dubbed the electric “old-school.”
The Energica Ego/Ego+ electric sportbikes offer unmatched power and torque from any other electric motorcycle currently on the roads and have a top speed of 150mph.

The Eva Ribelle/+ is ideal for urban riding with slightly lower seat height and wider handlebars to put the rider in a more upright position but it still offers plenty of power, reaching top speeds of 125mph.

The EVA EsseEsse9/ EsseEsse9+ is a refined version of the Eva Streetfighter with a relaxed riding style for long commutes and offers Slow Charge and DC Fast Charge, also with top speeds of 125mph.

Energica already offers industry-leading power, torque, and top speeds. The plus models will be equipped with the 21.5kW powerpack battery.
The price of the Energica electric motorcycle is not cheap but comes in lower than the Damon Hypersport and the Harley LIveWire. The new 21.5kW powerpack models will top $20,000, but this still comes in around $10,000 cheaper than the LiveWire.
The electric motorcycle market is now experiencing many technological improvements along with more companies producing electric bikes, which should help drop the prices. It will be interesting to see what motorcycle manufacturers can engineer to try and keep up with Energica Motorcycles.
