Tesla now boasts the cheapest solar panel array for homes in the United States. The company has introduced a lowest-price guarantee to make sure. And not only that, but they are more potent than before too! Prices vary by location, but the regular system size is now one-third less expensive than the industry average. This will make Tesla more competitive in the solar business for sure.

Tesla explains in a blog statement:
With our new pricing, an average customer buying a large system in California will make their money back in only six years by reducing their electric bill, ultimately making an average of $88,000 over the system’s lifetime. In New Mexico, that same system will make an average of $55,000 over its lifetime and in Vermont, $47,000. All systems, in all states, generate more value than ever when purchased with cash or financed with a solar loan.
Its new pricing is thanks to decades of experience and improvements along the way. Two of the key factors included fixed sizes for panels and allowing customers to order online. Moving to a digital experience and modularity has helped cut costs of sales and marketing by 64%. These savings gave the company the chance to make solar more affordable for customers.

Tesla also built an internal software platform that improves the experience of going solar because it automates solar panel placement on a roof for energy optimization. These new panels are more efficient with premium core technologies and have higher power yields, which in turn reduces the cost of solar interconnection. Furthermore, it makes pairing solar with the Tesla Powerwall a breeze in the park.
And if you decide you don’t like the system, you can get a full refund within a week from the system turn on, and Tesla will come to uninstall it for you.

Another excellent product from Tesla is its solar roof tiles. A roof made with them is cheaper than a regular roof installation with solar panels added on. The tiles are like regular roof shingles, but they’re solar panels that generate electricity. They’re designed to look like a typical roof, rather than a roof with solar panels on top.
