Audible Made Hundreds of Audiobooks FREE To Support Coronavirus Self-isolators

Date:

Audible, the seller and producer of audible entertainment such as audiobooks, just made hundreds of titles free to get people through the isolation of the coronavirus crisis. The new deal is primarily directed at the younger generation and therefore, will be streaming scores of children’s books.

All schools in the UK have been forced to close as of March 20th, and Audible wants to help working parents have a means of sufficiently educating and looking after their children until they can go back to school. You don’t have to be a member to take the company up on this offer! Simply visit stories.audible.com – no log-in required. So long as schools are closed, the Audible Stories collection will be available to stream at no cost at all.

Audible writes on the site:

For as long as schools are closed, we’re open. Starting today, kids everywhere can instantly stream an incredible collection of stories, including titles across six different languages, that will help them continue dreaming, learning, and just being kids.

[We recognize] that people are at home, in many cases with children home from school, and that stories have the power to entertain, teach and to keep minds active, alert, and engaged.

Among the free audiobooks available are novels narrated by Dan Stevens and Thandie Newton. The hundreds of titles are of the entertainment, general-interest, and education genres. You will find stories written by famous and popular authors, such as Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein (narrated by Stephens), Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre (narrated by Newton), Anne of Green Gables, The Return of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle, Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book: The Mowgli Stories, Moby Dick, Frankenstein, and many toddler titles from Peter Rabbit to Winnie The Pooh.
