Every day 1.5 billion cotton swabs are produced, causing it to become one of the largest marine pollution sources. In the UK, there are nine discarded swabs per 100 feet of beach. On top of that, the CO2 emissions from the production and transportation of the single-use item is a severe climate change hazard. All of this can be avoided by switching to LastSwab.

LastSwab – the world’s first reusable cotton swab – is a sustainable alternative to single-use Q-tips without a large environmental footprint. One LastSwab is designed to replace 1000 single-use cotton swabs, which means less harm to our planet.
This fantastic reusable solution was created by three Danish designers at LastObject who are on a mission – to tackle the global pollution problem by creating eco-friendly reusable everyday items that can be cleaned continually for long-term use.

The swab is made up of a firm and compact nylon core with soft medical silicone on each end. LastSwab isn’t only functional but aesthetically pleasing as well. There are two different versions of the swab; a regular one that looks like a typical Q-tip and a beauty swab that’s ideal for your make-up bag. The make-up swab has more of a pointy shape, making it perfect for cleaning up uneven lines or blending small areas.

LastSwab is eco-friendly and biodegradable, including the swab, case, and even the packaging it comes in. There are lots of different colors to choose from for both regular and beauty swabs, including turquoise, green, blue, coral, magenta, yellow, white, and black. The different colors come in handy when you’re on a trip with friends or family – each of you can have your own color. The case is convenient to travel with anywhere you go or to store at home.
LastSwab is part of a series of reusable alternatives, including reusable tissues, cotton pads, and masks. For more information on the LastSwab, you can check out the video below or go to their website.
