A new camera drone from Zero Zero Robotics about to fly its way into the market with 50 minute flight times and two tilting rotors rather than the standard four rotors.

The company previously made a splash with smaller drones made for simple flights that focused less on flying and more on just snapping selfies. This time the company is looking to revolutionize the drone market with the V-Coptr Falcon.

Most drones on the market today have a flight time of between 20-30 minutes, the V-Coptr Falcon has nearly doubled the max flight time with an impressive 50 minutes of flying. Equipped with a 4,500-mAh 15.4V battery, the V-Coptr Falcon allows for the extended flying time that photographers and novices have been waiting for.

The dimensions of the copter when folded are 22x15x7 cm (8.7×5.9×2.7 in) while weighing only 730 g (26 oz).

The new V-shaped dual-rotor propulsion system is combined with intricate tilt-rotor technology, specific control algorithms and nonlinear modeling that together provide for high agility, stable extra-long flight time. The V-Coptr is also equipped with advanced Visual Inertial Odometry (VIO) front-facing stereo camera, which maps its surroundings, and detects obstacles to avoid collisions in real-time.

The three-axis gimbal allows for smooth video capture 4k video resolution at 30fbs and 12 megapixel still shots, from a 1/2.3 inch CMOS sensor. Photo modes include both RAW and JPEG, with single-shot, burst and self-timer shooting. The V-Coptr has an impressive range of 7km (4.3 mi) and is equipped with a yaw control range of ±80 degrees.

The Falcon also comes with visual tracking algorithms, which allow it to follow along with a moving target with accuracy and stability. Pre-programmed flight paths and post-editing templates help the user to create beautiful cinematic effects.

The V-Coptr Falcon is set to be available in February 2020 and can be preordered with a $100 deposit on the company’s website, with the ability to choose locations in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. The full price of $999 includes spare propellers, the controller, and a protective case.
