Daymak Is Building The Fastest Three-Wheeled EV In The World

Date:

Canadian EV maker Daymak is building a three-wheeled car, dubbed Spiritus, that can go from 0 to 60mph in 1.8 seconds. The company is currently crowdfunding the two-seater EV that “rides like a go-kart” and has solar panels for a trickle charge, a regeneration system, and Daymak’s wireless charger.

Aldo Baiocchi, Daymak Inc.’s President and founder, said:

“This is very exciting! Daymak has come a long way from when I started in my garage in 2001. The Spiritus is a dream come true.”

A $100 deposit will get you a pre-order and guarantee a lower price when the EV goes on sale. It will also include a bonus $100 coupon towards any e-bike or small electric vehicle that the company is currently selling via any of its dealers.

The Ultimate model, which offers quick acceleration and has a range of 480km, starts at $149,000. Daymak claims it will be the world’s fastest three-wheeled car. The Deluxe version has a lower range of 300km and starts at $19,995.

Spiritus is 1 of 6 vehicles in Daymak’s Avvenire Series. The others include:

  • Foras, an enclosed reclining bike designed to revolutionize travel;
  • Tectus, a fully electric AWD mobility e-scooter that is designed for all types of weather conditions and roads;
  • Terra, an on- and off-road e-bike with a range of 100km and speeds that reach 32km;
  • Aspero, an ultra light-weight, enclosed ATV;
  • and Skyrider, described as “a high-performance EV capable of flying,” with a range of 100km and speeds that reach up to 300km!

The Spiritus crowdfunding campaign, which began on March 23, 2021, is scheduled to end on July 23, 2021, and production is expected to start in 2023.

Other neat three-wheeled vehicles include Oregon’s E-Trike, which delivered supplies to the homeless last year, and Dutch startup EV Mobility BV’s fully-enclosed, 100% electrically powered vehicle dubbed LEF.
