Looking for a way to write a professional essay? You can turn to the services of an online paper writer and read this article. What awaits you? In today’s article, we will explain it to you. In addition, we’ll give you advice on how to write an essay in English, and finally, for a better idea, we’ll show you a sample. But first, let’s explain what essays are.

How an essay should look like

It should be mentioned that essays are generally classified into several strands of essay writing, most often according to their origin. Some styles grasp the subject differently, and others are of different lengths – for example, the French essay is noticeably longer, the Anglo-Saxon essay divides the main part into three subparts, etc.

How to write an essay

Before you start writing, thoroughly study what you want to write about. If there should be any unsubstantiated information in the essay, it could throw your whole endeavor off. Without enough sources of information, there is no point in embarking on writing.

Remember that you must never copy the materials you have read without citing the sources, even in an essay. All cited and paraphrased sources should be identified in the text and listed after the essay itself. Not every one of us is a natural history essay writer, so it’s fine to be in need of some help.

Setting the outline

Prepare an outline for your essay based on the information you have gathered and how you want to approach the topic. A well-structured rhetorical outline will help you create a logical flow in your essay and ensure that your ideas are effectively communicated to the reader. Think about the issues you want to discuss in the essay, and accordingly, prepare your points so that they follow a logical sequence and correspond to the logical structure of the text.

Choice of style

An essay can be written from two different perspectives – first or third person. Your strong personal connection to what you are expressing is more evident in the first person. On the other hand, the third person is more credible and may make a better impression on someone.

Title

The title is the first thing the reader sees in the essay. Therefore, it should look interesting enough to convince everyone to read it further. But most of all, it must clearly illuminate the topic of the whole essay. Often this is done very simply (e.g., essay about a book).

Introduction

In the introduction, you still have to try to engage the reader – both in terms of how appealing the topic is and how you view it (or intend to view it in the course of what follows).

  • Draw them in from the first sentence.
  • Explain the topic clearly and introduce all the necessary facts you will work on within the following sections.
  • The introduction does not have to be long; one short paragraph is often enough.
  • Above all, make it clear why you have chosen this particular topic, and conclude by stating your thesis – the essential idea of the piece, which will take the reader into the second, main part of the essay.

The main part

  • If the essay is to be more extensive, divide it into subsections according to the outline. Follow the outline you have prepared; devote about 200-400 words to each paragraph, and try to support only one main idea. If a sentence is unrelated to this idea, move it elsewhere or remove it altogether. Paragraphs should flow seamlessly into each other – the last sentence of a paragraph always flows into the first sentence of the following paragraph.
  • Support each opinion with some compelling evidence. Use facts that leave no one in doubt. In addition, a good argumentative essay must include both pro and con arguments that contradict each other. By using opposing views, you will then be able to better evaluate the issues raised.
  • To keep the text from being unnecessarily shallow, keep asking yourself why and keep looking for evidence and meanings. Only in this way will you succeed in writing an essay that the reader will not leave during the essay but will read with interest until the end.

Conclusion

The conclusion in an essay has an important function, and if it fails to fulfill its purpose, the whole text will lose its meaning. It is influential in getting the reader on your side by the last sentence at the latest. Make a compelling argument that answers the questions posed in the introduction. Do not repeat what has already been said; instead, summarize your previous thoughts in a clear statement.

If you find that you have arrived at a different thesis than the one you raised in the introduction, go back to the introduction and revise the thesis.

Essay in English

As already indicated, the professional essay is a popular means of expression in the Anglo-Saxon world, which is why domestic English teachers use it with Czech students in their teaching. When writing an essay in English, pay attention mainly to the meanings of words. Take help from synonym dictionaries (called thesauri) or at least online dictionaries, and pay attention to whether what you write makes sense.

When writing in English, identify words that are related to the topic at the beginning and then stick to them. This will help with the flow of the text, which will become more graphic and specific.
