Italian water mobility company Jet Capsule has unveiled its luxurious 2021 lineup: The Jet Capsule DuePuntoZero (2.0) or LX (short for “extra length”) and the Hyper jet Capsule.
Both models, designed by Pierpaolo Lazzarini – an Italian designer with a passion for yachts and automobiles – measure 9.5m long and 3.5m wide and are available in full electric mode. The Jet Capsule solution is specifically designed for transportation; therefore, it retains all its versatility. It has the potential to become a nautical platform of the future, with a variety of configurations: from a vessel for twenty passengers to a private boat.

These watercraft have photochromic windows that change their transparency in response to light intensity. The entire structure comprises a combination of carbon fiber and fiberglass hull, while the interior is customized down to the last detail, like a private jet. In the most luxurious configuration, the Jet Capsule can include a bathroom, beds, and a small kitchen, as well as mood lighting and a sundeck.

Onboard, the Jet Capsule features a protected deck and seating area. The version without a bathroom can accommodate 20 passengers plus a captain or 16 passengers with a toilet and space for one wheelchair or a baggage compartment. The headlights led system can adjust the light intensity and inclination. The front also features a water surface scanner to prevent debris.
The smallest version has a length of 7.85 meters, a width of 3.44, and a maximum displacement mass of 3.58 tons. The Jet Capsule is equipped with twin Yanmar engines (with power possibilities from 740 hp up to 1880 hp for the hyper version) and can reach 60 knots.

However, the Jet Capsule can be configured with a triple electric engine set up with 450 KW of electric power (3 x 200hp). This engine allows the vessel to operate in full electric mode with speeds reaching 30 knots, sailing, docking, and maneuvering in full electric mode. Additionally, a hybrid version is available in the new series of Jet Capsules.
Both models include a dual 24,000 BTU air conditioning system. The Hyper jet Capsule is a bit expensive, with prices reaching up to $1 million, while the Jet Capsule DuePuntoZero (2.0) is available for prices starting at $500,000.
In March, we saw Lazzarini Design studio unveil designs for a solar-powered amphibious “crabmaran,” dubbed Pagurus, that can move on the sand like a crab.
