The main reason is the high-tech equipment (VR helmets) needed for this innovation. However, experiments on virtual reality in education are already being actively carried out. The results are impressive.
AR and VR are not only about usefulness and informativeness; they are about emotions and involvement. With their help, school education can become a really exciting process and sometimes a whole adventure. For example, older kids can do augmented reality experiments on educational platforms, and toddlers can interact with virtual animals and other objects.

Special applications based on this technology can partially replace a tutor, and in combination with VR, it can be full immersion, for example, in a language environment, albeit virtual.
But the main advantage of AI technology is the ability to automatically adapt the lesson program in accordance with the child’s progress. This makes the learning process more effective and engaging. AI-based solutions are already quite actively used in schools.
For example, in the Belgian province of Flanders, an “intelligent” learning platform based on the Century system from the British IT company Century Tech is being implemented. After registering in the computer program, the student takes a test, in the course of which his interests and strengths are determined. The AI then gives the child assignments that help fill in gaps in their knowledge and develop existing skills. Teachers can track the progress of children’s learning data online.
