Football (Soccer) is the most loved sport globally, with around 3.5 billion followers and counting. However, aside from the difficulties in obtaining a regular soccer ball, repairing or maintaining them can often be difficult for people living in impoverished communities.
Nendo solves that problem with its ‘My Football Kit‘ – a 54-part puzzle that assembles to form a soccer ball that doesn’t deflate or need re-inflating and bounces like a regular ball. The ball’s structural design is inspired by the traditional Japanese woven bamboo balls, with interlocking elements that can easily be repaired or replaced on-site.

My Football Kit is made from recycled polypropylene and elastomeric synthetic resin. If a piece breaks off or gets damaged, the ball will retain its shape and will not undo, ensuring the game continues uninterrupted. Fixing the ball is very easy; if a piece is missing – it can be replaced, and if it’s broken – it can be repaired. This provides a more economically effective alternative to buying a new soccer ball or a pump.
My Football Kit comes disassembled in a flat-package, allowing the manufacturers to ship more per delivery to reduce their carbon footprint. It is easy to assemble, and optional colored components enable players to color-code their footballs. This way, they can form teams and play different games.
A drawstring bag is also included in the kit so that the player can carry it anywhere they go – either disassembled or intact. See My Football Kit’s detailed photos below.
