GoSun, a company that provides eco-conscious campers with ingenious solar-powered devices, has launched a new item – a portable water purification system called the GoSun Flow. It’s small enough to fit in a backpack and draws on solar energy to clean water for drinking and washing.

The solar panel, which charges an 18.5-Wh power bank, is integrated into the top of the carry case. The power bank drives a pump so powerful it can purify one liter (34 oz) of water per minute!
A fully charged power bank can purify 380 liters (100 gallons) of water, and the filter lasts for 1,000 liters of filtration. When it has reached the end of its life, it can easily be replaced. If there isn’t enough sunlight, then the pump can be powered by alternative means via USB.

The pump pushes dirty water through a three-stage cartridge filter that removes 99.99% of pathogens from water and feeds the clean drinking water out the other side. The three stages include:
- A polypropylene filter disc that removes large particles like dirt, sand, and rust;
- A high-efficiency carbon filter that absorbs hazardous chemicals and heavy metals;
- And a nano aluminum fiber filter that creates an electropositive charge in a maze of fibers to contain and kill the tiniest particles and organisms.

The device can also be modified to function as a portable handwashing or dishwashing station and even a hot shower. By pairing it with the Faucet+Sink component, it turns into a proper washing station to suit all cleaning needs. By pairing this with the submersible water heater or the GoSun Fusion cooker, the water can come out clean and warm!

The collapsible sink can fill up to nine liters when open and folds down to just two inches for easy stowaway.
The company expects to begin shipping out the new product to customers in August 2020.
